SAF Names Scott Warren As New Projects Director
BELLEVUE, Wash., May 17, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Second Amendment Foundation today announced the hiring of Seattle resident Scott Warren to be its Projects Director, effective immediately.
Warren is a 2013 graduate of Western Washington University in Bellingham with a degree in political science. A native of Snohomish, Washington, Warren graduated from Snohomish High School in 2008. He currently lives in Seattle's Green Lake neighborhood.
"Scott arrives at a critical moment, with gun rights unfortunately in the political crosshairs," noted SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. "He brings a background and skills that will be increasingly important in our efforts to educate the public about the importance of the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. We're delighted to have him aboard."
"I look forward to helping preserve and protect the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms," Warren said. "I hope to promote a better understanding about firearms training, safety and education in America."
Warren most recently worked for Google. He said that when the opportunity came to join the SAF team, he jumped at it. A hunter and shooter, he has a passion for firearms rights.
"The right to keep and bear arms remains as important today as it did when the country was founded," Warren said.
"With the challenges facing honest gun owners today, not to mention the ongoing attack Second Amendment, we're going to keep Scott very busy," Gottlieb predicted.
