SAE International's Vehicle Electrification Magazine Earns National Azbee Award
WARRENDALE, Pa., Aug. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SAE International employees Ryan Gehm, Wayne Silvonic and Ryan Pristow won the 2012 National Azbee Silver Award in the Web Feature Article category for the article, "One Souped-up EV." The article appeared in the Aug. 24, 2011 issue of SAE Vehicle Electrification. Winners were announced during a ceremony held Wednesday, July 18, in New York City.
Gehm is an assistant editor and Silvonic and Pristow are both graphic designers.
The article employed embedded video and flip-through image boxes among other editorial and graphical elements, taking full advantage of the interactive capabilities offered by the digital magazine platform. These elements complemented the in-depth coverage of an EV start-up company, its technologies, and the challenges it faces.
The Azbee Awards are sponsored by the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE); the competition recognizes the hard work and commitment of business and professional magazine, newsletter, and Web editors and designers. The Azbee award is a prestigious acknowledgement that the article has met high standards of excellence. The Society's contest is extremely competitive, and one of the largest U.S.-business publication competitions.
