SAE International Magazine Readers Select Top Stories for 2012
WARRENDALE, Pa., Jan. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- What do SAE International magazine readers consider to be the top stories for 2012? The summary was featured in the recent special article, "Reader's Choice 2012."
Readers from three of SAE International's flagship magazines – Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering International and SAE Off-Highway Engineering – determined the list through the overall number of online views for each article.
Many of the most popular articles were technical in nature, covering topics such as diesel aircraft, ITS test projects and electromechanical drivetrains for tractors. However, two articles were career related, including an SAE International survey showing that engineers' salaries are up overall, and an article on how to jump-start a career, featuring a GM interior design release engineer.
"The online rating function is an important tool we use to gauge current reader interest and determine what future content we deliver for our ever-expanding audience," Kevin Jost, Editorial Director, SAE International, said. "Our 'Readers Choice' article offers an interesting look into what topics and technologies generated the most interest this year."
