SAE International Launches New Member Networking Site - EngineerXchange™
WARRENDALE, Pa., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- It's professional networking built specifically for mobility engineers; and it's only for SAE International members.
SAE International unveiled its new member networking site -- "EngineerXchange" -- as an online community for members. The site provides exclusive access to powerful new networking tools, jobs, career counseling and management tools and advance access to SAE technical information.
"It's the no-nonsense spot on the web for the people who power the transportation industry… the members of SAE," said Bill Cariello, manager of web strategy for SAE International.
EngineerXchange allows users to personalize their own professional profiles with the ability to share information with everyone, friends only, or keep information to themselves. Users can participate in spaces, communities and blogs, joining in joint discussions about the latest technology, design challenges and career opportunities.
In addition, EngineerXchange offers relevant professional advice through SAE Expert Community Groups, which are moderated by veteran designers, engineers, specialists, recruiters and career counselors.
"This will be a site where members can come for advice and mentoring issues," Cariello said. "That's the secret sauce of EngineerXchange. We are less transactional and more peer-to-peer. Retired members can help younger members with career path decisions. It's really a community platform."
Along with expert advice from fellow SAE members, EngineerXchange offers exclusive access to important data like polls, salary surveys and the ability to preview SAE technical information, including magazine feature articles, standards and technical information.
