SAE International Editor, Magazine Honored with National Award of Excellence
WARRENDALE, Pa., April 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Assistant editor Ryan Gehm and SAE International's Automotive Engineering International (AEI) magazine were recently presented with a silver award in the Truck Writers of North America's seventh annual Communication Awards competition.
Gehm and AEI received the award in the Magazine Writing - Technical category for the article, "Truckin' Along," which appeared in the May 2009 edition of the publication.
The award was presented March 25 in Louisville, Ky., at the annual Truck Writers of North America Industry Awards Banquet. The article was selected from nearly 70 entries in the competition, which recognizes excellence in trucking industry journalism in the trade and mainstream press.
"Truckin' Along" details key technologies and trends that will shape the future of heavy trucks and trailers—including alternative power sources, aerodynamic designs, and electronics integration—and illustrates how the trucking industry is at the forefront of technology development and adoption.
