Sacred Heart Medical Center Deploys Talyst's Pharmacy Automation for Inventory Control and Improved Patient Safety
KIRKLAND, Wash., Aug 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, a member of the Providence Health & Services, has utilized Talyst's innovative pharmacy automation, AutoPharm®, three AutoCarousel®, and AutoLabel®, for five years.
The technologies provide the hospital with greater inventory control and improved patient safety. With AutoCarousel, the hospital is able to consolidate its drug inventory in a compact footprint. The vertical design provides secure, automated storage and accurate retrieval. In addition, AutoLabel has improved Sacred Heart's patient safety by barcoding and labeling all medications, ensuring virtually 100% of medications are scan-ready at the bedside.
