The new enhancement allows local payment for hotel reservations managed by Sabre-connected agents on behalf of travelers. Through a new process incorporated into TotalTrip, agents now are able to pay all their bookings in Reais currency, supported by a real time and online workflow within the Sabre travel marketplace.
"Our new functionality in TotalTrip will meet industry standards and drive agents' ability to shop, book and pay for pre-paid hotels in Reais. In addition to further customized payment options, it will save agents time, make agencies more efficient, and ultimately mean travelers receive a transparent cost quote," said Luiz Ambar, vice president Sabre Travel Network in Latin America south region.
TotalTrip's new enhancement supports many forms of payment in Reais, including online Credit Card, as well as bank deposit in domestic branches and for wire transfer. The payment process does not represent additional cost or taxes (Imposto sobre Operacoes Financeiras) as transactions are made in Brazil.
Introduced in 2006 TotalTrip is part of Sabre, the world's largest travel marketplace, facilitating the sale of travel between buyers and sellers. Travel agents can shop and book prepaid hotel rates in the broadest hotel e-commerce platform for agents in Latin America.
