SABESP Expands the Water Consumption Reduction Incentive Program to Other Municipalities
SAO PAULO, May 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Companhia de Saneamento Basico do Estado de Sao Paulo - SABESP (BM&FBovespa: SBSP3; NYSE: SBS), pursuant to CVM Instruction 358 of January 3, 2002, as amended, hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that, on May 26, 2014, it expanded the Water Consumption Reduction Incentive Program to those municipalities served by Sabesp in the Piracicaba, Capivari and Jaguari Water Basin in the Cantareira System catchment area.
Customers who reduce their monthly consumption by 20% over their average monthly consumption in the last 12 months (i.e. between February 2013 and January 2014) will be entitled to a discount of 30% on their water and sewage bill. The municipalities included in the expansion of the program are: Braganca Paulista, Joanopolis, Nazare Paulista, Pinhalzinho, Piracaia, Vargem, Hortolandia, Itatiba, Jarinu, Monte Mor, Morumgaba and Paulinia.
The measure includes all residential, commercial, industrial and government customers and will remain valid for bills issued as of June 2014 until December 2014.
