SAN FRANCISCO, June 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Webgility, the leader in multi-channel e-commerce automation software, today announced the addition of Kinnar Vora to its executive leadership team. As Vice President of Engineering, Vora will help the rapidly growing engineering team continue to innovate and scale its solutions to meet the increasing demands of its customers in the retail sector.
"It is rare to find someone as skilled in Software-as-a-Service technology and retail business as Kinnar is," said Parag Mamnani, founder and CEO, Webgility. "Kinnar's expertise combined with his background in growing engineering teams—including remote teams—will be essential as we continue to scale our company and its resources to meet market demand."
A SaaS veteran, Vora has deep experience growing companies from startup to exit. Vora served as vice president of product development and operations for Sequoia Retail Systems, a leading independent provider of comprehensive point-of-sale, inventory control, e-commerce, and textbook management systems to colleges and universities throughout the nation. Vora was responsible for innovative work on payment API integration, enhancement, and support, and delivered a new cloud-based and mobile point-of-sale software for college campuses. Sequoia Retail Systems was acquired by Blackboard Transact in May 2016.
Vora has also led engineering for two leading healthcare technology companies, serving as vice president of Somnoware Healthcare Systems, Inc. and senior vice president of HealthExpense, Inc., as well as serving as director of engineering for online marketing solution provider Lyris, Inc. He holds a bachelor's degree in electronics from Walchand Institute of Technology and a diploma in business management from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.
"Webgility is not just another company; it has a vision and a level of leadership transparency that is rarely seen," said Kinnar Vora, Vice President of Engineering, Webgility. "I was drawn to Webgility not just because of its groundbreaking technology but because of its strong community of both employees and customers. I look forward to continuing and expanding the outstanding record of service and innovation at Webgility."
