Saab and PACAVI Establish Partnership to Conduct Airbus A320 and A321 Passenger-to-Freighter Conversions
SAN DIEGO and LINKOPING, Sweden, June 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Swedish defense and security company Saab AB (Publ.) and California based conversion engineering specialist PACAVI Group announced today that Saab Aerostructures will be the manufacturer of the main deck cargo door including surrounding structure for PACAVI's A320 and A321 passenger-to-freighter aircraft conversion program. Saab will also provide support during the design phase.

Passenger-to-freighter conversion of PACAVI's Airbus A320 Freighter LITE prototype, started in January, is progressing on schedule at the HAITEC facility in Frankfurt/Hahn (Germany). PACAVI and partner GAMECO will commence conversion of the A321 Freighter LITE prototype in the fourth quarter of 2015 at GAMECO's facility in Guangzhou (China).
