DALLAS, Aug. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Ryan, a leading global tax services firm with the largest indirect tax practice in North America, today announced that Ryan Director Linda Falcone was elected President of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) for 2011–2012. IPT is an international organization dedicated to promoting the uniform and equitable administration of state and local taxation of businesses. It is the only international organization offering comprehensive and systematic courses of instruction and programs of certification in matters pertaining to state and local income, sales, and property taxation.

Ms. Falcone's duties as president will include participation in the Institute's training schools, symposia, and seminars held around the United States. She will preside over Board of Governors meetings and, together with IPT administrative staff at the headquarters in Atlanta, direct the Institute's many activities. She has been active in the organization for the past 21 years and holds the Certified Member of Institute (CMI) designation for sales tax accreditation. Ms. Falcone joined Ryan in 2006 and launched the Firm's Charlotte, North Carolina office. She has played a key leadership role in delivering steady revenue growth, while providing Ryan clients in the southeast region superior results and substantial tax savings. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine, and a Master of Business Administration degree with emphasis in accounting and finance from California State University, Fullerton.
