Ruud Lighting, Inc. Launches New e-conolight(R) B2B Website On LCG Commerce Powered Magento(R)
CHICAGO, June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Ruud Lighting, Inc., manufacturer of quality, high-performance commercial, industrial, architectural and municipal lighting solutions, today announced the launch of its new e-conolight business-to-business e-commerce site.
E-conolight.com is designed to provide an easy, intuitive way for e-conolight customers, primarily electrical contractors, distributors, and homeowners, to purchase products from the company's recently expanded product line. New tools specifically designed to simplify the buyer's experience include a product configurator to help shoppers determine the exact product needed for their project, access to order history, ability to build priced and non-priced quotes and purchase order functionality. The site was launched on LCG Commerce, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform powered by open source Magento and was designed, developed and implemented by Chicago-based Lyons Consulting Group, a Magento Enterprise partner.
"We like the SaaS model because it keeps the site current," said Karin Henkes, Software Development manager at Ruud Lighting. "The e-commerce field is changing rapidly and SaaS gives us the opportunity to stay up-to-date with all the latest features and functionality."
"We're thrilled that e-conolight selected Magento for its new customer-friendly e-commerce site," said Roy Rubin, CEO and Founder of Magento. "E-conolight's online business is unique because they sell to other businesses and homeowners; features like the product configurator and purchase order functionality make Magento a great way to support the unique needs of all e-conolight customers."
A secondary goal for the new site is to maximize search engine optimization (SEO) and increase search engine marketing (SEM) capabilities for an increased presence on the web and ultimately a growth in sales and customer retention.
"We are looking forward to leveraging SEP and SEM to better promote our site as the most cost-efficient lighting supplier on the Web," added Henkes. "A main goal is to increase our web presence so we're easy to find and easy to order from."
"Making your site easy to find and intuitive for online shoppers is more than a competitive advantage, it's crucial to your business," said Rich Lyons, President of Lyons Consulting Group. "Shoppers are now very savvy and they leverage the Web to find and catalog content on the site."
