Russian Hackers Leak Millions of LinkedIn, eHarmony Passwords

WASHINGTON, June 7, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- LinkedIn director Vincente Silveira has confirmed that some of the enterprise social network's passwords have been "compromised" when a user in a Russian forum uploaded over six million hashed LinkedIn passwords.
The online dating site eHarmony has confirmed that passwords for some of its accounts have also been breached.
In addition, many LinkedIn users have been targeted by email scams asking them to "confirm" their email address by clicking a link.
Both companies are contacting their users with information on what to do next.
