LONDON, March 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
London-based company Russia Local Ltd (http://www.russialocal.co.uk) has launched the exciting new competition for children Russia4Brits (http://www.russialocal.co.uk/en/russia4brits) in partnership with a number of British and Russian cultural, educational, business and media organisations in order to promote a positive image of Russia among British youth
At the start of the UK Russia Year of Culture through challenging popular misconceptions about Russia, the project aims to improve Russo-British relations and international business and trade.
The project initiator, Russia Local's director Ignaty Dyakov states: "We are aiming to get chidlren involved in the discussion of Russo-British relations and the advantages of being friends for business, culture and education.
We believe by doing this it can prospectively improve Russo-British political, diplomatic and trade relations for the next generation and with Russia being a leading emerging market this can only bring benefits for Britain. In order to achieve these goals we have created a project to further these objectives and we are inviting schools and colleges to become involved."
He adds: It could not be more timely with issues on the Ukraine Russia border and the UK Russia Year of Culture".
The project Russia4Brits takes the form of a national competition aimed at 4 to 19 year olds. Working individually or in groups, children will be asked to produce a creative work such as a song, poem, article or a piece of photography on a theme related to Russia, her culture and her image in the world today.
