Each year, Runzheimer International recognizes organizations that stand out in terms of their employee mobility management practices. Winners of the TEM Best Practice Award must demonstrate top performance relative to Runzheimer survey benchmarks and illustrate that their cohesive approach to mobility management yields quantifiable improvements in revenue and profit growth, organizational agility and employee satisfaction.
This year's winner – USAA – was highlighted for their best practices in managing their employee transportation programs, with an emphasis on strengthening cost control and employee satisfaction.
"We are proud to honor USAA for a second year for their continued commitment to manage costs and improve both service levels and process efficiency," said Greg Harper, President and CEO of Runzheimer International.
For several years, USAA has managed all areas of employee transportation through one integrated approach – Enterprise Support Services. Using a robust corporate intranet site, employees are able to access and book commercial travel, corporate aircraft, and fleet vehicle services as well as stay abreast of current policies and procedures. The Enterprise Support Services unit makes it easy for employees to understand programs and policies without having to navigate to the many different departments involved in some aspect of employee mobility management. The approach also helps ensure the right departments (Travel Services, Enterprise Security) have the appropriate information about each traveler's location so that information, guidance and support can be made available quickly regarding natural or man-made threats.
The TEM Benchmarking Report provides valuable insights on employee mobility and how organizations manage a mobile workforce. Companies that participate in the survey receive a complimentary copy of the report. To participate in the 9th annual survey, contact Runzheimer International.
