Rubenstein Public Relations Launches Pro Bono Media Campaign For The 9/11 Tribute Center
NEW YORK, Sept. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Rubenstein Public Relations (RPR) has announced that it partnered with the 9/11 Tribute Center for a pro bono media campaign in observance of National 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance. On Wednesday, September 17th, 600 volunteers from companies affected by 9/11 joined the center in assembling 500 bicycles for the children of active military service members. This special event, held in partnership with the USO, was held at the 69th Regiment Armory on Lexington Avenue.
Opened in 2006 by the September 11th Families' Association, The 9/11 Tribute Center is a not-for-profit corporation that offers "Person to Person History" by linking visitors with the facts of the historic events that unfolded on September 11th, 2001. Visitors will learn the identity of the 2,973 people who were tragically lost, as well as the unprecedented rescue and recovery operations that united the nation soon thereafter.
The 9/11 Tribute Center also launched a new online education toolkit entitled "Teaching 9/11" for teachers that will provide a diversity of methods and examples of how to incorporate 9/11 in a variety of subjects throughout the academic year. RPR also provided the media support for the campaign.
RPR will work with the 9/11 Tribute Center to organize further strategic special events, develop philanthropic partnerships and generate traditional media coverage in key publications.
