NEW YORK, Jan. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard Rubenstein, President of Rubenstein Public Relations (RPR), announced today that the agency welcomed two new hires: Roxanne Ducas as Director of Communications and Katalin Bergou as an Associate Vice President. With a breadth of experience in media and public relations, both women bring extensive backgrounds in corporate communications to RPR's team. As Director of Communications, Ducas will work alongside the firm's President to manage external and internal messaging and materials, networking, and introductions between and on behalf of clients to maximize relationships, since the agency places a strong emphasis on collaboration between clients and its extended network.
Prior to joining RPR, Ducas was employed as a Communications Coordinator at AECOM Technology Corporation, a 45,000-employee, global architectural, engineering and construction corporation, where she drafted and helped distribute press releases, managed corporate social responsibility initiatives, executed social media campaigns, and worked with the Global Procurement and Industrial Solutions teams.
Previously, Ducas worked as a Media Relations Coordinator for the "Less Than U Think" campaign at The Century Council in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where she helped to implement a national student-run campaign against drunk driving and binge drinking among universities.
Ducas is a graduate of The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Relations.
As Associate Vice President, Katalin Bergou will work with clients across a broad range of industries and will be responsible for writing press materials and developing strategic media campaigns in print, broadcast and online media outlets.
Previously, Bergou was an Account Supervisor at LAK Public Relations Inc., managing the daily activities of a professional services client, where she secured exposure in publications including The New York Times, Financial Times, Barron's, AllThingsD, Network World and Computerworld. Prior to that role, she was a Senior Account Executive at Gutenberg Communications, where she began her PR career as an Associate Executive. She worked with clients in the Information Technology industry and also supported other accounts in education and healthcare.
Bergou graduated from The College of New Jersey with Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics and a Minor in Journalism. Bergou later received her Master's Degree in Communication and Information Studies from Rutgers University.
