RSW/US Raises 2,000 Pairs of Shoes for Soles4Souls

4th Year of Effort the Biggest To-Date

CINCINNATI, Nov. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- This year, like the three years past, RSW/US joined forces with the international aid organization Soles4Souls to help change the world one pair at a time for the 300 million children in the world without shoes.

The difference between this year and year's past, is that this year RSW/US raised more shoes than nearly all three prior years combined. 2,000 in total.

How did they do it?

100% commitment from the company and involvement from the community and city at large.

According to Ashleigh Ress, RSW/US Director of Philanthropy, "We had 25 companies across the city participate in the drive - companies as large as Great American and Castellini, and companies as small as Fleet Feet and BarefootRNR. These companies alone, donated close to 1,000 pairs of shoes."

The drive was also a huge success because of the community's involvement in the end-of-drive, "We Got Sole Party" event.

According to Mark Sneider, RSW/US Owner & President, "It was great to see close to 200 people attend our first ever, end-of-drive event. The Madeira choirs performed. Our own house band performed. This is the start of something big here in Cincinnati. Next year, we plan on expanding the effort to surrounding communities like Indian Hill and Mariemont and getting even more people involved. Our goal next year is to double the number of shoes collected."

Why do they do it?

According to Sneider, "Since starting our business eight years ago, we have not only seen the advertising agency world change considerably, but we have also seen the needs of those less fortunate change considerably. It's not enough for a company to just take and take. We all have to give things back."
