NEW YORK, June 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- We wanted to let you know about some important changes we are making to certain of The Royce Funds effective June 15, 2015.
First, the following Funds are changing names:
- Royce Financial Services Fund will be renamed Royce Global Financial Services Fund. Although the Fund will continue to invest in securities of U.S. issuers, it may invest up to 50% of its net assets in foreign securities (measured at the time of investment).
- Royce European Smaller-Companies Fund will be renamed Royce European Small-Cap Fund.
- Royce International Smaller-Companies Fund will be renamed Royce International Small-Cap Fund.
The investment objective and strategy for each of the last two Funds are not changing. However, each of these Funds has adopted a new non-fundamental investment policy requiring that each invest at least 80% of its respective net assets in stocks with market caps up to $3 billion.
Chris Clark, Royce's President, said, "As was the case with a prior round of name changes in May, we believe these new names will help to distinguish each Fund's approach within our lineup."
In addition, effective July 1, 2015 five funds in our global/international lineup—Royce European Smaller-Companies, Global Value, International Smaller-Companies, International Micro-Cap, and International Premier Funds—will have lower advisory fees. More information regarding the new fee structures can be found at roycefunds.com.
