Royal Canin Partners with PetFlow Good Deeds to Donate Bowls of Pet Food to Help Pets in Need
Royal Canin Pledges to Donate Up to Two Bowls of Pet Food for Every Royal Canin Purchase
ST. CHARLES, Mo., May 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Royal Canin and PetFlow's Good Deeds Program have teamed up with Rescue Bank to donate a bowl of pet food to shelters in the U.S. with any purchase on www.PetFlow.com throughout the month of May. As an added bonus, one additional bowl of pet food will be donated for every shipment of Royal Canin products. That means two bowls of pet food will be donated to a shelter pet in need for every Royal Canin purchase at PetFlow.
According to the American Humane Association, over four million pets nationwide enter animal shelters annually, resulting in a large number of animals to provide food, health care and shelter for on a daily basis for months at a time. To meet these critical needs, shelters consistently depend on donations of food, supplies, and monetary support to care for animals while the pets wait to find a forever home.
Purchases made through PetFlow in May will provide donations of much-needed food for a shelter cat or dog's nutrition and wellbeing, while helping to raise awareness of the many adoptable shelter pets that are ready for a family.
"At Royal Canin, our goal is to make a better world for pets, because pets make our world better," said Dr. Brent Mayabb, Royal Canin Vice President of Corporate Affairs and veterinarian. "We are excited to partner with PetFlow and Rescue Bank to help make a difference in the lives of shelter pets in need."
Each shelter that is selected will be highlighted on the PetFlow Good Deeds site: www.petflow.com/good. You can follow #PFGoodDeeds on social to read the stories about the shelter pets you are helping with your purchase.
"Our partnership with Royal Canin and Rescue Bank this month is a great opportunity for us to give back to shelters and the pets they so selflessly help through our Good Deeds program," says Michael Lackman, CEO of PetFlow. "We have already provided thousands of meals to needy animals and this is another hugely meaningful step in the right direction for the program as we work hard to get pets into loving homes through the support of shelters and heightened awareness within the pet community."
Royal Canin is sponsoring the Good Deeds program from May 1 through May 31, 2016. To participate, visit www.PetFlow.com.
