The conversation centers on the use of big data to produce a public good, all while creating market value for healthcare payers and providers. In the past, with fee-for-service, there were no financial incentives for providers to practice high-value care. With the continuing shift towards pay-for-value policies, there is now both financial and social incentive to practice high-value care.
