Rotary Lift credits lift manufacturer Stertil-Koni with developing the weeklong lift education event in 2014. Automotive Lift Institute (ALI), the trade association formed in 1945 by Rotary Lift and eight other now-defunct lift manufacturers to promote lift safety, is also getting involved this year.
"The vehicle lifting industry in general has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, coupled with major advances in safety, features, durability and environmental stewardship," explains Dr. Jean DellAmore, president of Stertil-Koni*, in a press release. "National Lift Week presents a unique opportunity for us to not only salute these accomplishments, but also offers a powerful way in which we can give back to those who depend on, and utilize our products daily."
Kirk Dawson, Rotary Lift vice president of heavy-duty, says, "When Stertil-Koni announced its Lift Week last year, we thought it was ironic, because at Rotary Lift, we take the opportunity every day to promote the benefits of vehicle lifts. But after considering ALI's support for such an event, and being in agreement with Stertil-Koni on the overarching goal of educating customers, we decided to lend our support this year as the only remaining ALI charter member in order to elevate the event for the good of the industry."
As part of this education push, Rotary Lift introduces www.rotarylift.com/original. This new heavy-duty lift website is designed to help fleet maintenance managers, technicians and specifiers learn about the types of heavy-duty lifts and how to use them properly to maximize shop productivity, safety and vehicle uptime. The website features videos, articles, buyer's guides, a labor savings calculator, lift application guide and other resources. Visitors can also sign up to get a free T-shirt. Additional materials and activities are scheduled throughout this week. Be sure to follow Rotary Lift on Facebook www.facebook.com/RotaryLift and Twitter twitter.com/RotaryLift to stay in the know.
This week only, save $5 on every purchase of ALI's online lift safety certificate course Lifting It Right – Online. This interactive course, hosted by NASCAR legends Richard and Kyle Petty, is usually $29 per person. Order it this week for just $24 per person and take the course anytime within the next 90 days.
"Rotary Lift invented the original hydraulic vehicle lift 90 years ago, and we haven't looked back," Dawson says. "We continue to innovate and tailor solutions for every customer need, which is why we have more ALI-certified lift models than any other manufacturer. And thanks to our unmatched distributor network, every Rotary Lift is backed by the best-trained, most convenient local support in the business. So this week – and every other week of the year – Rotary Lift, our distributors and our RAI's (Rotary Authorized Installers) invite you to celebrate the benefits that vehicle lifts bring to the vehicle service industry."
