Ross Fanger Joins STX Entertainment As Executive Vice President Of Physical Production
LOS ANGELES, May 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ross Fanger has been named Executive Vice President & Head of Physical Production for the STX Entertainment Motion Picture Group it was announced today by Adam Fogelson, Chairman of the STX Motion Picture Group, and Oren Aviv, President and Chief Content Officer for the STX Entertainment Motion Picture Group.
From Iron Man and Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes to The Grey, Fanger is one of the most accomplished physical production executive producers working in the industry today with a wealth of experience overseeing productions of virtually every size and scope. In his new role, Fanger will begin working immediately on the studio's slate of 12-15 motion pictures annually. He will be responsible for all physical and post production on all new motion pictures produced by STX Entertainment.

Fanger has been a respected executive producer and production manager for nearly three decades and has worked on some of the biggest blockbusters of all time. He was head of physical production for Marvel Studios where he oversaw principal photography, post production, and VFX on hit films including Iron Man and The Hulk. Most recently, Fanger served as executive producer on Hercules, starring Dwayne Johnson, The A Team, starring Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper, as well as The Grey. Additionally he spent 10 years at Fox as co-producer/unit production manager on hits including The Fantastic Four and The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, as well as X-Men, X-Men 2 and X-Men: The Last Stand, & Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes.
Prior to his freelance work at Fox, Fanger was a production executive at Disney where he supervised such memorable motion pictures as The Mighty Ducks, Newsies, The Program, When a Man Loves a Woman, Billy Bathgate, and many more.
Fanger began his career as a production assistant on Star Trek 3: The Search for Spock, and then moved on to location manager of Barfly, Great Balls of Fire, Miracle Mile and others.
