Rosemary Abendroth Named To Cather Circle By The Nebraska Alumni Association
NEW YORK, Sept. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Rosemary Abendroth, SVP, Global Communications Director, Publicis Healthcare Communications Group (PHCG), was recently named to the University of Nebraska's prestigious Cather Circle. Created by the Nebraska Alumni Association, the Cather Circle promotes the growth and education of women through an alumnae-to-student mentorship program, and creates a nationwide network of female leaders with ties to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL).
"I am honored to be a part of Cather Circle, and am proud to continue the legacy of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Cather Circle members before me. This program fits perfectly into my personal aspiration to further expand the development of the next generation of women leaders," Abendroth said.
UNL alumnae members are selected for their accomplishments in their careers, civic activities, and interest in mentoring current students. All are highly successful women with a variety of backgrounds and professions. Abendroth has held multiple global leadership roles with esteemed advertising agencies, including PHCG and Fallon Worldwide, DraftFCB, and DDB, and also operated her own consulting practice.
In addition to her professional experience, Abendroth supports women's initiatives as a pioneer of Viva Women!, Publicis Groupe's female networking group dedicated to supporting women in their personal and professional career development. Like Cather Circle, Viva Women! encourages participation in programs that mentor young women to better prepare them for their professional life. Abendroth has also been involved in the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA), a network of biopharma executives empowering business and thought leaders in healthcare.
Abendroth will be invited to attend fall and spring conferences, held on the UNL campus, where members of the Circle connect, mentor, and develop networks of support throughout the year. In addition, Abendroth's name will be inscribed on the Circle's Life Endowment Wall on the UNL campus.
