Ropes & Gray Names 12 New Partners in Seven Offices Worldwide
BOSTON, Oct. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ropes & Gray announced today that 12 attorneys have been named partners of the firm, effective November 1. In addition, the firm promoted three associates to counsel.
The new partners of the firm reflect the global footprint of Ropes & Gray. They are based in seven offices on three continents: Asia, Europe and North America.

Geoffrey Atkins (Hong Kong) advises public companies, private equity firms and financial services clients in the United States and Asia in civil and criminal enforcement matters before the SEC, DOJ, and other state and foreign regulators, and in connection with complex securities and commercial disputes. He has extensive experience advising corporate management and directors in conducting internal investigations, and in pre-acquisition due diligence related to anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance.
James Davis (Silicon Valley) focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation in federal courts, as well as before the ITC and the PTAB. Applying his background in electrical and computer engineering, he has represented clients across a broad range of technologies, including semiconductors, analog circuits, wireless technology, consumer electronics, internet services and medical devices.
Alison George (Boston) has a wide range of experience in transactional real estate matters, and focuses on real estate joint ventures, investments and finance, including domestic and international repurchase facility structures. Throughout her career, she has represented private equity and hedge fund clients, REITs, institutional investors, endowments, operators, and developers on all types of distressed and non-distressed assets, including major offices, hotels, multifamily properties, sports complexes, hospitals, and retail, research and industrial assets.
Eric Issadore (San Francisco, Silicon Valley) advises private equity firms and strategic investors in the structuring and negotiation of leveraged buyouts, public and private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, and other business combinations. His experience spans transactions in both the United States and Europe and covers a wide range of industries, including consumer goods and technology.
Kevin Jarboe (Boston) focuses on finance and advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, debt investment funds, and other institutional investors in finance and business matters. He also focuses his practice on syndicated credit facilities, ABL facilities, mezzanine financings, high yield debt offerings, second lien financings, distressed lending transactions, and domestic and international debt workouts and restructurings.
Anna Lawry (London) focuses her practice on derivatives and structured finance. Her transactional work includes advising on derivatives in the context of a broad range of financing and corporate transactions, often cross-border in nature. An important part of her practice is advising on regulatory developments affecting derivatives and other financial instruments.
Joshua Lichtenstein (New York) focuses on ERISA and employee benefits. He advises asset managers and employee benefit plans regarding the investment of plan assets and a wide range of related issues, including how to operate as an ERISA fiduciary, the prohibited transaction rules and related exemptions. In particular, Josh has been central to guiding the firm's clients in navigating the Department of Labor's Fiduciary Rule, and regularly works with asset managers on the structuring, formation and operation of investment funds and other pooled investment vehicles.
