Rope Access Team Back At Grand Canyon Skywalk To Clean Glass Bridge - Descending 4,000 Feet From Canyon Floor
PEACH SPRINGS, Ariz., May 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Abseilon USA, the nation's leading Rope Access Solutions Company, has announced their next visit to the Grand Canyon Skywalk on June 16th and 24, sharing that the visit will include high definition video and drone technology during a rappel into the Grand Canyon. The efforts will help remove and hoist trash to keep the canyon clean and pristine. The Grand Canyon Skywalk, located at Grand Canyon West in Arizona, extends guests 4,000 feet (1220m) over the canyon floor.
The new technology that will be used, Vidcie HD cameras, mount on the helmets of the technicians and have the ability to stream live video to any PC or tablet with minimal delay. Additionally, a Harkin Power Seat will allow the technicians to easily ascend the line from the base of the canyon hoisting trash.

The engineering wonder, Grand Canyon Skywalk, is about 120 miles (193 km) from Las Vegas and 250 miles from Phoenix. Abseilon USA SPRAT Certified Technicians will work on the underside of the platform to clean the glass while keeping the Skywalk open for tourists and visitors.
