root9B Awarded Subcontract Supporting Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO)

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., July 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- root9B, a root9B Technologies Company (OTCQB: RTNB), a leading provider of advanced cybersecurity services and training for commercial and government clients, announced today that it has been awarded a subcontract from prime contractor Silverback 7, Inc. The contract will support activities within the Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO) for special warfare technical support. The special warfare technical support (SWTS) multiple award, indefinite- delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract awarded to Silverback 7, Inc., has a period of performance of 5 years, and a ceiling value of $48 million for all awardees.

Under the contract, root9B will provide the CTTSO and its interagency partners with development and implementation of cyber capabilities and technologies to combat terrorism. The CTTSO is charged with providing a forum for interagency and international users to discuss mission requirements to combat terrorism, prioritize those requirements, fund and manage solutions, and deliver capabilities. The CTTSO accomplishes these objectives through rapid prototyping of novel solutions developed and field-tested before the traditional acquisition systems are fully engaged. This low-risk approach encourages interdepartmental and interagency collaboration, thereby reducing duplication, eliminating capability gaps, and stretching development dollars.
