Rodriguez Named To Lead KPMG's Audit Committee Institute

He has been a KPMG partner since 1995 and is located in the Greensboro, N.C., office. Rodriguez also serves as an SEC Reviewing Partner and Foreign Filing Partner, and has held a number of leadership positions in the firm.

Rodriguez succeeds Dennis T. Whalen, who had served as ACI's executive director since 2011 and was recently appointed leader of KPMG's Board Leadership Center (BLC), which consolidates the firm's board-facing activities—including ACI, WomenCorporateDirectors, Private Markets and Board Exchange.

Rodriguez will continue to serve as the lead audit partner for a major consumer products company, as well as the Ombudsman for KPMG LLP.  He previously served as Chief Operating Officer for KPMG International's Global Audit practice, Office Managing Partner of KPMG International's Global Services Center in Montvale, N.J., Audit Professional Practice Partner for KPMG LLP's East Region, and the firm's Southeast Area Audit Professional Practice Partner. Jose has also served as lead director and a member of KPMG's Board of Directors.

Rodriguez joins the ACI and Board Leadership Center as KPMG continues to expand its resources for the corporate director community, including the recent hiring of TIAA's former head of corporate governance, Stephen Brown, as a Senior Adviser, and the launch of the WomenCorporateDirectors Foundation, with support from KPMG.
