As SVP of Digital Operations and Strategy, Buehler will lead, unify, and coordinate key digital functions across the company's portfolio of world class brands, which includes Men's Health, Women's Health, Prevention, Runner's World, Organic Gardening, and Bicycling, as well as Rodale Books and Rodale's, the healthy lifestyle e-tail store launched last year.
"Beth's career path has positioned her as a critical bridge between technical, editorial, and business teams," said Schulman. "She's uniquely equipped to support our current efforts to drive traffic and distribution, develop new ways to monetize our content within the digital space, and build future digital growth strategies for the company. Creating this position is the first step in our broader digital plan. We're particularly focused on expanding video and mobile presence—areas where both audience and advertiser dollars are moving rapidly."
Buehler joins Rodale from Getty Images, one of the world's leading distributors of premium digital images, where she served as Head of Digital Ventures. Prior to that, she held several key positions at Dow Jones & Company, including General Manager of MarketWatch, where she led the initial turnaround of the business and set the course for a three-year growth trajectory. She also served as Head of Business Management, overseeing consumer and enterprise strategic partnerships within the Wall Street Journal Digital Network properties and the Dow Jones Newswires/Factiva businesses. In this role, Buehler was also responsible for the Dow Jones Data Analytics and Insights team, made up of digital analytics, SEO, and market research.
During her tenure, Buehler also served as Dow Jones' Global Head of Business Development, where she led a team that executed complex company partnerships with Yahoo!, Amazon, Microsoft, and Google Android across the Wall Street Journal Digital Network.
Said Buehler, "Rodale, with its unparalleled content and brands, is in an exceptional position to capitalize on the growing use of technology in the health and wellness space. I am excited to work with the talented editorial and business teams to build industry leading products, partnerships, and distribution opportunities that will bring Rodale brands to the next phase in digital growth."
