DENVER, Oct. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD) is pleased to announce James Reiman as the Chair of the Graphic Design Department. Reiman brings over a decade of experience as both a creative professional and an educator to this role.
Reiman has worked professionally as an artist and designer since 2003. He has shown his fine art work in galleries internationally, and has maintained an active commercial art career with his broad creative skillset, which includes graphic design, photography, illustration, and video production.
Reiman began teaching in 2006, and has taught at a number of institutions, including The Art Institute of Tampa, The University of South Florida, and online for RMCAD. As an educator, he has experience teaching a variety of disciplines, including graphic design, foundations, photography, and video production. Additionally, during his time as an online instructor for RMCAD, he was instrumental in redesigning the college's online courses in Raster Image Processing and Type & Layout.
RMCAD's Graphic Design Department is committed to putting people at the center of everything its faculty teaches and practices. Through the department's rigorous curriculum, students gain an in-depth understanding of research, design methodologies, technologies, and visual communications theory. Using design strategy and intuition, graduates of the Graphic Design Program discover their personal voice by developing solutions to human-centered problems in the global environment and enter the field with an intense commitment to creating success for human beings.
The on-campus and online Graphic Design Program leading to the BFA is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
