NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Rock and contemporary Christian guitar legend Phil Keaggy will be the special guest on Trinity Broadcasting Network's award-winning "Praise the Lord" music and talk show Friday February 21st, taped at TBN's popular Trinity Music City studio and concert venue in Nashville.

In the late 1960s Keaggy was considered one of the rising stars in serious rock music, his guitar prowess compared to the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. Keaggy's band Glass Harp was playing with such rock icons as Iron Butterfly, Yes, Traffic, Grand Funk Railroad, and Chicago.

But in the early 1970s that all changed when Keaggy came to faith in Christ and began writing songs that expressed his newfound relationship with Jesus. Keaggy would go on to team up with early contemporary Christian artists and groups like Second Chapter of Acts, Randy Stonehill, Nancy Honeytree, and many others. And such Keaggy album projects as Love Broke Through, How the West Was One, and The Master and the Musician are considered contemporary Christian classics and continue to influence new generations of musicians and artists.

Keaggy has garnered seven Dove Awards for his Christian music and was twice nominated for Grammy Awards in the category of Best Rock Gospel Album.
