Agreement Expands Defined Benefit Pension Plan
ROCHESTER, N.Y., April 12, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, the Board of Commissioners of the Public Authority approved a new five-year agreement between Teamsters Local 118 in Rochester and the Regional Transit Service (RTS), a subsidiary of Rochester Genesee Regional Transit Authority.

The agreement was previously ratified by the members on March 28. The 46 Local 118 members work in the supervisory capacities of radio controllers, dispatchers, garage foreman and road supervisors.
Highlights of the agreement include:
- Wage increases ranging between 10-15.25 percent over the term of the agreement (retro-active to Jan. 1, 2012)
- Comprehensive health and welfare benefit package
- Expansion of defined benefit pension plan
- Generous Incentive pay program
- Maintenance of retiree healthcare benefits
- Expansion of Teamster jurisdiction
