ROCA Update on Temporary Shutdown at MAX Mine
TSX.V: ROK
VANCOUVER, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Roca Mines Inc. (TSX-V: ROK) ("the Company") announces the following update on its MAX Molybdenum Mine temporary shutdown.
The mine remains on a temporary shutdown as a result of a Stop Work order issued by the Cranbrook office of the British Columbia Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources ("BC-MEMPR"). The stop work order required the mine to provide a report from an independent geotechnical review of conditions at the underground mine, and the submission of other information such that the inspectors at BC-MEMPR could consider the recent stope wall-sloughing event.
The independent review has been completed and highlights that there are no issues with respect to re-entering the mine, and that the event was contained to the inactive, non-man entry stope as previously described. All other information has also been provided and the Company awaits the inspector's decision.
