Robyn L. Hood is recognized by Continental Who's Who
WAUKESHA, Wis., Aug. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Robyn L. Hood is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in Retail, Fashion and Design field.
Hood's professional skills include Pattern Making, Technical Design, Artistically Related skills, Teaching, Quality Control, Mentoring, Consulting and Business Ownership.
Some of Hood's additional talents and areas of expertise include textiles, sewing, graphic design, tech packs, styling, illustration, knitwear, outerwear, pattern grading, flat sketching, factory inspection, audits and approving fit and grading in factories around the world. Additionally, she is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and an expert in Adobe Illustrator.
Over the course of her career, Hood has held positions in Quality and Product Developments with the following companies: Kohl's, Land's End, Victoria's Secret, The Children's Place and The Disney Store. She has worked as a Pattern Maker at the likes of Alfred Werber, Inc., Paddle and Saddle Sportswear, Barad and Son and Buster Brown Apparel and free-lancer for several companies.
In addition to utilizing her skills in her own role, Hood also developed classes and taught sewing at JCP, Mentored at FIDM and FIT. She has developed patterns and grading/sizing for a Wee Peoples catalog.
Hood earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Design, Sculpture, Painting and Drawing, along with Minor Education at Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Mo and completed some graduate coursework at Tennessee University Chattanooga.
To further her professional development, Hood has been a member of the American Standards Testing Materials. In addition to her own work, in various professional roles over the course of her career; she has mentored other industry professionals and students.
