Robert Sigal Joins InSightec as President and Chief Commercial Officer

TIRAT CARMEL, Israel, November 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

InSightec Ltd, the leader in MRI guided Focused Ultrasound therapy, announced that Robert Sigal, MD, PhD, will be joining InSightec as President and Chief Commercial Officer as of October 13, 2013. He will be responsible for all the commercial aspects of InSightec reporting to Dr. Kobi Vortman, CEO and Founder of InSightec Ltd.

Robert, who holds an MD from Cochin Medical School, Paris, and PhD in Neuro-anatomy from Lille University, has over 30 years of broad experience in the medical field as a physician, and medical director as well as business leader in the medical equipment marketplace.  

Robert joins InSightec from GE Healthcare where he served most recently as the General Manager of GE Healthcare France, a business unit responsible for all GE healthcare business in France with annual sales of over $400 million. During his medical career he served as the chairman of radiology at Institute Gustave Roussy (IGR), the largest comprehensive cancer center in France and the Executive Medical Director of IGR.
