NEW YORK, May 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert Graham is pleased to announce that the brand will serve as the primary sponsor for the Dreyer & Reinbold Racing entry in the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500. The No. 24 Robert Graham Special, a Chevrolet-powered Dallara chassis, will be driven by veteran open-wheel racer Townsend Bell. The Indianapolis 500 takes place Sunday, May 24 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway – The Racing Capital of the World.
"We are honored to outfit world-class driver Townsend Bell with Robert Graham influenced apparel, from his racing suit and team uniforms to the automotive component design elements for the No. 24 car," said Robert Stock, Founder of Robert Graham. "By infusing the brand color DNA, Townsend Bell will create a visual statement of impact as he races to the finish line at blistering speed."
The racing suit highlights the Robert Graham logo on the chest, back, collar, midsection, shoulders and right leg. The primary color of the suit is black with white racing stripes and inset lines of the brand's green and purple vibrant paisley design, and colorful speed blur on the interior neckband, shoulders, inner arms, torso and inseams. The No. 24 Robert Graham Special entry features a solid black paint scheme with lime green dominant color of Robert Graham and the brand's logo prominently displayed on the hood, sides and spoiler of the car. The nose of the car "unzips" in design to feature the brand infused colorful speed blur.
The Robert Graham interior cockpit salutes NASCAR legend and Indiana favorite Jeff Gordon in his final full-season in motorsports. The 24 scripts on Bell's Indy 500 mount will match the No. 24 of Gordon's Chevrolet racecar.
As part of Indy 500 annual protocol, Indianapolis 500 drivers are sent all over North America to promote The Indy 500. This year's "media day" is set with Townsend Bell in NYC at the Robert Graham Show Room on May 19th, 2015.
The brand has also invited key Robert Graham partners for a one-of-a-kind Indy 500 experience. The weekend will kickoff with a private dinner hosted by the brand and Townsend Bell on Saturday, May 23. At the Indy 500 race, Robert Graham guests will be treated to a VIP experience and view of the race from a private suite. Indy 500 inspired gear, including key design elements straight from Townsend Bell's racing suit, are exclusively available for purchase, while supplies last, at www.robertgraham.us. Items include a Limited Edition sport shirt in black and white, a driving cap – part of the team's uniform – and a first ever Indy 500 Robert Graham themed baseball cap.
