The new version brings a new map viewer, which supports a number of map formats, including the map image data from the community map project. The new viewer presents a revised user-interface and makes use of asynchronous data loading, thus creating an improved user-experience.
Apart from the map viewer, ROAMWORKS will also be running two new map servers: An OpenStreetMap server will increase the availability of map data, and a new map server, with its own data, will provide customized data. With the new map servers ROAMWORKS will be able to offer user-specific data from different sources and have it stylized to meet customers' demands.
Both map servers will be filled with data in the next few releases.
