PARIS, June 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hubwoo (Euronext: HBW.NX), a leading provider of comprehensive spend management and business process automation solutions, today announced the recent customer success at the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Its volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland. The charity operates over 230 lifeboat stations and has more than 220 lifeguard units.
The RNLI had originally been using SAP eSourcing on Demand version 7 on the SAP hosted platform. As SAP version 7 was nearing end of life and therefore would no longer be supported, the lifesaving charity needed a way to be able to continue to leverage their existing Sourcing and CLM investment without a gap in return as they managed through this change. RNLI decided to migrate to Sourcing and Contract Management hosted by Hubwoo from their existing version 7, hosted by SAP.
Hubwoo was asked to step in and so provided the people, process and technology to help the RNLI continue to reach the full savings potential of their source-to-pay investments and achieve procurement process excellence.
Hubwoo looked at the migration effort and created a change management plan that allowed the RNLI to move off one platform and go to another in the timeframe of just over three months, with no adverse impact to their business continuation. Hubwoo applied a "Lift-and-Shift" approach with the emphasis on migration speed and cost.
With Hubwoo's hosted solution of SAP Sourcing and SAP CLM, the charity has been able to remain on a familiar platform while upgrading to a newer, actively supported version.
The RNLI went Live on Hubwoo hosted eSourcing and CLM earlier this year and enjoyed business continuity throughout the process due to Hubwoo's Change Management support. In order to ensure a smooth transition, the RNLI updated their Sourcing and CLM user guides and the team was provided with continuous training.
This smooth migration process in addition to Hubwoo's strong technical and functional support that comes with over 15 years of consulting and technical configuration services experience, meant an expedited time to value and reduced project risk for the RNLI.
As one of the early adopters of SAP Sourcing and SAP CLM hosted by Hubwoo, the charity has benefited from an accelerated head start on achieving business value with these leading-edge solutions that provide improved user experience and connectivity, and reduced total cost of ownership.
Jason Dunham, Principal Procurement Manager of the RNLI said: "Hubwoo allowed us to migrate from one system to another with no disruption to our strategic procurement process. Users are now using the solution with virtually no difference to their previous system. Areas of the solution that were causing problems have also been fixed. With the move to Version 10 we hope to continue maturing our strategic sourcing process."
Greg Mark, CEO of Hubwoo said: "We are very proud to have a company like the RNLI as our customer. Our work with them aligns with our philosophy that, if you like your sourcing app, you should be allowed to keep your sourcing app. Hubwoo is passionate about helping organizations along their journey towards procurement business process excellence whilst at the same time, helping them leverage their existing investments in knowledge, processes and technologies."
