RMF Engineering Adds Civil Engineering Team to its Columbus, Ohio Office
BALTIMORE, June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- RMF Engineering, the Baltimore-based engineering firm, announced today that it has added a civil engineering team to its Columbus, Ohio office. Led by division manager Vince Jarrett, the multi-disciplinary team will provide civil, mechanical and electrical engineering, commissioning and utility distribution capabilities to the firm's Ohio-based clients.
RMF Engineering opened its Columbus office in 2011 to better serve its growing client base, including The Ohio State University (OSU), Ohio University, Case Western University, Medical Center Company, Miami University, Wright-Patterson AFB and the Environmental Protection Agency.
"RMF has been rooted in the Ohio market for many years, and as we expand our presence here we've recognized the need to add civil engineering capabilities to support client demand for these services," said Duane Pinnix, president and CEO of RMF. "We have been working with Vince and his team for a number of years in both subcontractor and prime contractor settings, and we're excited to have them join RMF as we continue to grow our Ohio client base."
The civil engineering team also includes Matt Burgdorf, Gregory Albrecht and Stephen Whalen who have extensive experience working with Jarrett previously at a Columbus-based civil engineering firm. Much of the team's previous work has included the modernization of the OSU campus facility.
With 17 years of experience in engineering design, Jarrett is responsible for directing all civil/site engineering design and construction administration projects. In this new role with RMF, Jarrett will continue to oversee the team's ongoing projects for OSU, including the east regional chiller plant distribution, the $1.1B medical center expansion and the expansion of the north residential district. Previously, Jarrett worked on the $100M replacement of OSU's Larkins Hall, upgrades to the university's steam and condensate distribution system and the improvement of the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville.
