RLTV And George Washington University's Face the Facts USA Announce Partnership

BALTIMORE and WASHINGTON, Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- RLTV, the only cable network and online destination for adults 50+, and Face the Facts USA, a project of The George Washington University, will collaborate on a series of panel discussions and Town Hall meetings addressing vitally important problems facing America today. These events will air on RLTV as part of its solutions-oriented Fix America initiative, which creates content around relevant and pressing issues.
Scheduled to air Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 8 PM ET on the eve of the Vice Presidential debate, the first televised event, Fix America: Debt & The Deficit; A Face the Facts USA Special, will feature a discussion between former Sen. Alan Simpson (R-WY), who co-chaired President Obama's National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, and budget expert Jared Bernstein, former chief economist and economic adviser to Vice President Biden. The conversation is moderated by Face the Facts USA founder, journalist Frank Sesno, director of GW's School of Media and Public Affairs.
Additional Fix America/Face the Facts USA special events will include panels on:
- Ending Senior Hunger, to air Nov. 15
- The Health Care Dilemma, to air Jan. 17, 2013.
Town Hall meetings will include:
- Pursuing Prosperity, to air on Nov. 1, and
- The People Have Spoken, a post-election issue discussion to air on Nov. 29.
