RLTV & Renegade Productions To Premiere A Series Of Documentaries Featuring American Icons

BALTIMORE, Feb. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- RLTV, the only cable network and online destination for Generation 50+, has secured the rights to two compelling documentaries from Renegade Productions as part of a development deal for future documentaries and series produced by Renegade. "In the Face of Evil" and "Shortstop in China," reflect Renegade's commitment to bringing fresh perspective to iconic American figures - in this case President Ronald Reagan, the 40^th President of the United States and Baseball legend Cal Ripken. Both documentaries showcase how these unique men employed their passion to impact the global stage through diplomacy.

The four-time award-winning documentary In the Face of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed will premiere on RLTV on Thursday, February 6 at 8pm ET to commemorate President Ronald Reagan's birthday. Based on Peter Schweizer's acclaimed bestseller, "Reagan's War," the documentary chronicles the brutal conflict between totalitarianism and freedom as seen through President Ronald Reagan's 40-year confrontation with communism. The New York Times noted, it is "...an operatic documentary that rises to new heights," and The Washington Post called it "an epic homage to Ronald Reagan."

A Shortstop in China, an hour-long documentary, follows Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. on his first diplomatic trip to China as an American Public Diplomacy Envoy for the U.S. State Department and highlights Cal's sharing his passion for baseball with youngsters and coaches throughout China.
