LONDON, September 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
River Island is excited to announce the launch of the Blogger Design Project, an exclusive range of accessories due to go on sale in October.
Top fashion and lifestyle bloggers Coco's Tea Party, Fashion Foie Gras, Five Five Fabulous and Mademoiselle Robot, have each designed a mini accessories collection to reflect aspects of their personalities and their blogs.
River Island recognises the importance of street style and bloggers in the fashion industry and wanted to involve all four style and tech savvy bloggers in the design process. All four fashionistas each designed an iPad case, iPhone cover, tote bag and greetings card, and worked with River Island's buying and design team to create and develop this fantastic collection.
Coco's Tea Party was launched in September 2006 by London based fashion journalist and stylist, Ella Gregory. For six years Ella has closely followed the relationship between Hollywood and the fashion industry, documenting the latest magazine covers and reporting on the hottest trends to hit the catwalk. Ella's designs are a hybrid of leopard print, lace and sequins. The electric blue lace sits against the more muted tones of the leopard print creating a striking contrast.
Fashion Foie Gras was founded in September 2009 by Emily Johnston, with the idea of creating one place where all things newsworthy for fashion and style are reported 24/7. Emily's signature Goose wearing heels logo is used within her designs, in the lining and as a motif on her tote bag. The i-phone case with multi pockets and storage can also be used as a purse.
Five Five Fabulous was set up in September 2009 by Reem Kanj as a way of creating her own role within the ever evolving fashion industry. Five Five Fabulous is dedicated to its unique content and there are a host of style posts, food reviews and travel experiences written from the point of view of sisters Reem and Natalya Kanj. Reem's influence was sorely inspired by the blog's branding for the colour palette. For the ipad case she was inspired by the 'trapezoid' geometric figure and that's where the silhouette came from.
Mademoiselle Robot's creator, Laetitia Wajapel started her blog in 2007. The blog focuses on Fashion and Lifestyle through the eyes of a Parisian in London. It includes style posts, travel journals, runway photos, interviews and more. Laetitia's designs mirror her blog, with the use bright rainbow stripes and a fun typeface found on her tote bag and greetings card. Thei-pad case creates more of a clean and chic look, with scallop edging and envelope style design, it doubles up as a clutch.
The Blogger Design Project will be available in a select River Island stores and online at http://www.riverisland.com, with prices ranging from £2.50 to £25.
