Rittal Corporation Earns 'Champion' Status in Recent Info-Tech Research Group Vendor Landscape Report
LONDON, Ontario, Sept. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- In its most recent Vendor Landscape Report on Data Center Precision Cooling, Canadian-based Info-Tech Research Group selected Rittal Corporation as one of three companies to receive its Champion ranking.
Champions provide reliable, innovative, broad product offerings to accommodate the needs of a changing market and, according to Info-Tech's evaluation criteria, offer excellent value, have a strong market presence and are trend setters in the industry.
In acknowledging the latest Champions, Info-Tech points out "Info-Tech Research Group Vendor Landscape reports recognize outstanding vendors in the technology marketplace. Assessing vendors by the strength of their offering and their strategy for the enterprise, Info-Tech Research Group Vendor Landscapes pay tribute to the contribution of exceptional vendors in a particular category."
Of the three recently named Champions Rittal ranked highest in terms of "value for money."
The detailed report was designed to help Info-Tech's clients understand the data center precision cooling market, evaluate data center cooling vendors and products, and determine which products are most appropriate to their needs.
"The cooling market is moving away from the traditional method of flooding data centers with cold air, and moving toward more precise and targeted cooling techniques at the rack and row level," points out Tony Cooper, Senior Product Manager for IT Strategic Marketing at Rittal Corporation. "And, that's an area where Rittal's Liquid Cooling Products (LCP) set us apart. They make it possible for data centers to develop more precise cooling plans, and significantly save on the energy required to cool components — even in high-density situations where the latest server technology can increase the load and heat significantly. Providing more efficient cooling while reducing energy costs and taking optimal advantage of whatever free cooling is available are among the reasons Rittal cooling systems represent true value," he concludes.
Rittal emerged as one of the forerunners in the development of the report on the strength of its scalable cooling solutions, its advanced monitoring capabilities and the breadth of its global support and service network.
