September 28 unreserved auction features large selection of low hour, late model Caterpillar and Komatsu equipment

Auctioneers (NYSE and TSX: RBA), the world's largest industrial auctioneer, will conduct a multi-million dollar unreserved public auction at its permanent auction site in Sacramento, CA on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, beginning at 8:00 a.m. (PST). More than 1,600 equipment items and trucks from 245+ consignors will be sold on auction day. Items are being added to the auction daily right through to auction day. "Our September 28 auction has an outstanding selection of heavy construction and transportation equipment-especially nice is the large amount of late model, low hour Caterpillar and Komatsu equipment," said Mike Brenner, Area Manager, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. "We also have a lot of heavy haul trucks and low-bed trailers, including two 9-axle trailers, which we certainly don't get every auction. And all of this equipment is going to sell on auction day to the highest bidder-regardless of price-without minimum bids or reserve prices."

Other construction equipment highlights of the auction include: 50 hydraulic excavators, 45+ telescopic forklifts, 45 loader backhoes, 35+ crawler tractors, 25+ wheel loaders and 15+ motor scrapers. Transportation equipment highlights include: 100+ truck tractors, 70+ pickup trucks, 40+ flatbed trucks, 20+ van trucks, 20+ dump trucks, 20+ end dump trailers, 20+ hiboy trailers and 15+ lowboy trailers. Interested buyers can inspect, test and compare equipment items for themselves at the Sacramento auction yard the week prior to the auction as well as on auction day.
Most equipment will be sold in the live auction; registered bidders can bid in person at the auction site, online in real time at rbauction.com, or by proxy.
