RiskSpan Harnesses Big Data Hiring Ramesh Mugalam and Opening COE in Charleston, SC

TYSONS, Va. and CHARLESTON, S.C., June 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- To address opportunities in data management and business intelligence, RiskSpan, Inc. (www.riskspan.com) announced it has hired Ramesh Mugalam to lead its Data Management-Advanced Analytics Practice and has opened a new Analytics Center of Excellence in Charleston, SC.

Ramesh (http://linkd.in/1BKUGRD) was most recently with IBM – Strategy & Analytics Practice. In this role he led client strategy on engagements in the financial services sector, with a focus on data management, including data architecture and large-scale data governance.  Ramesh's work also included delivering IBM data analytics solutions for clients and managing data transformation initiatives.  Ramesh has architected data discovery and reporting solutions for Big Data solutions and has worked with clients to develop solutions for unstructured and dark data sets.  Prior to IBM, Ramesh was with LexisNexis – Risk Solutions where he was responsible for growth strategy with data analytics products and client program management.
