For kids 11 and older, and 62" tall or more, Performance's 26" wheel kid's bike models are the perfect fit. The boy's Roost and girl's Thrush mountain bikes both feature alloy frames, 75mm travel suspension forks, SRAM shifters and Shimano 7 speed derailleurs. Both the Roost and Thrush are designed for smooth riding on road and are durable enough for off road adventures.
Performance's 24" wheel kid's bikes are available in 14 speed pavement and 21 speed mountain models. Both are perfect for kid's ages 9 – 11 and 55" – 62"in height. The 14 speed boy's Dash and girl's Lark feature Shimano Tourney shifters and pavement friendly tires for a smooth ride. The new 20" wheel Performance kid's bike collection includes the single speed Boy's Downforce and Girl's Piper for beginning cyclists. For more advanced cyclists, the boy's Burnout and Girl's Starling Mountain Bikes feature seven speed Shimano shifting, suspension forks and linear pull brakes with adjustable levers for smaller hands. Rounding out the 20" wheel models are the Boy's Dash and Girl's Lark. Perfect for neighborhood riding, the Dash and Lark feature alloy frames that make riding fun and efficient for longer rides, 6 speeds to smooth out hills and durable wheels and tires.
The 16" wheel Performance kid's bike models are designed for kids 34" – 44" in height and ages 3-6. The Boy's Thrasher and Girl's Sparrow feature alloy frames and steel forks that are durable and can be passed on from rider to rider, training wheels that can be removed once the child is ready to learn balance and chain guards to keep pants legs clean. Most importantly, both models serve as a great platform to learn pedaling and how to use a coaster brake.
The 12" wheel kid's bikes feature designs that are perfect for boys and girls 26" – 34" tall and ages 2 – 4.
