Riley Smith Leads Team To Victory At The 17th Emmys® Golf Classic
EMMY NOMINATED JONATHAN BANKS, DONALD FAISON AND KATHRYN NEWTON JOIN THE TELEVISION ACADEMY FOUNDATION FOR ITS ANNUAL BENEFIT
NOHO ARTS DISTRICT, Calif., Sept. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Television Academy Foundation awarded top honors to Team LA Live, which included celebrity Riley Smith on Monday at the 17th Emmys® Golf Classic, the Foundation's largest benefit of the year. Television stars, corporate leaders and supporters from across the industry gathered at the annual charity event, co-presented by LA Live, to raise funds and awareness for the Foundation's core educational programs including the prestigious College Television Awards, Faculty Seminar and renowned internship and scholarship programs.
Returning television stars Kathryn Newton and Jonathan Banks enjoyed a full round of golf with counterparts from hit shows which included Bailey Chase (Twin Peaks), Eric Close (Nashville), Chad L. Coleman (The Walking Dead), Patrick Fabian (Better Call Saul) and Vinnie Jones (Arrow). The tournament included a full day of festivities which kicked off with red carpet arrivals, and was followed by a putting contest. Celebrities took a moment to autograph items for the Foundation's Holiday Season Auction, including a Dooney & Bourke weekender bag and magnums of Ferrari Trento Brut and Sterling Vineyards® Wine. The day concluded with an awards reception and dinner, where additional awards presented included:
