In his role at Righttime, Dr. Newman will be responsible for managing patient care and clinicians, developing best practice medical and process management protocols, implementing new service lines, collaborating with community healthcare systems to transform clinical integration and deliver coordinated patient care, and executing long-term strategies for expansion.

Dr. Newman is a Board Certified family physician and geriatric specialist with over 30 years of practice experience. Over the last decade, he has been deeply involved in the urgent care community, and currently serves as President of the Urgent Care Association of America. He is an active member of the American Medical Association and Delegate to the AMA House of Delegates, the principal policy-making body of the association, a Delegate to the Florida Medical Association, and an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Florida Academy of Family Physicians (FAFP) and the American College of Physician Executives. In 2014, Dr. Newman received the FAFP Family Physician Executive Award in recognition of his outstanding dedication to excellence in the provision of high quality health care and impact on improving the overall health of the nation. Dr. Newman has also appeared on numerous radio and television programs as a spokesperson for the urgent care industry.
Dr. Newman has worked in many practice settings. Most recently, he served as the National Urgent Care Medical Director and Vice President of Medical Operations for Concentra, the nation's largest urgent care operator with over 330 locations across 44 states. Prior to joining Concentra, Dr. Newman served as Chief Medical Officer at Solantic Urgent Care where he helped grow the company from 9 to 34 locations with over 150 physicians. In addition, Dr. Newman served as Chief Medical Officer for Family Medical Centers, a multi-specialty group offering pediatrics, family practice, internal medicine, ob-gyn, cardiology, pulmonology and behavioral health services across seven locations.
Dr. Newman attended Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia where he earned his medical doctorate, and completed his residency in Family Practice at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Newman also served as a surgeon in the United States Marine Corps and is a certified Medical Review Officer.
