Ricoh unveils value-packed printers and multifunctional devices for small offices
RICOH SP 112 and RICOH SP 112SU round out Ricoh's expansive line of imaging solutions for individuals and organizations of all sizes to manage information workflow
MALVERN, Pa., May 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ricoh Americas Corporation today unveiled monochrome printers and all-in-one printer/copier/scanners that give customers simplicity, power and superior image quality in a low profile, compact design.
The RICOH SP 112 printer and the RICOH SP 112SU multifunctional print/copy/scan device have a profile of under 5 inches and 6.5 inches respectively. Combined with their compact 15-x16-inch footprints, they fit virtually anywhere in the small office, home office, medical office or corporate office.
These 16 page-per-minute (ppm) solutions offer up to 1200 x 600 dpi resolution and can be set up in minutes with a simple USB connection. The included Smart Organizing Monitor utility displays toner levels, device settings and status updates.
Individual workstyles continue to quickly evolve in today's dynamic work environment, and as a result information mobility – enabling workers to access information from anywhere at any time – is essential to making critical business decisions. These compact devices are the newest offerings from Ricoh to help customers make information work for them.
"These solutions help our customers with smaller volumes and lighter workloads meet their unique needs for economy and performance," said Matt Sakauchi, Vice President, Technology Marketing, Ricoh Americas Corporation. "These are important offerings, however, that round out Ricoh's complete array of solutions. Regardless of the scope, we have a solution to make information work for each customer."
The new devices feature a strong set of capabilities, including an ID Card Copy mode in the RICOH SP 112SU that enables users to copy both sides of a wallet-sized ID card onto a single page for convenience and efficiency.
The RICOH SP 112 and RICOH SP 112SU are faster than predecessor models (up from 13 ppm in the SP 100 e and RICOH SP 100SU e). Both devices handle larger paper (up from 8.5 x11 inches to 8.5 x 14 inches), and include a 50-sheet paper tray and an all-in-one print cartridge for easy replacement.
The manufacturer's suggested retail price for the printer-only RICOH SP 112 is $119, and the multifunctional RICOH SP 112SU is $144.
