Ricoh introduces new compact color MFP driven by intuitive interface
The new RICOH MP C306 supports mobile workers and provides easy cloud connectivity
MALVERN, Pa., Oct. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ricoh today unveiled a new color multifunction product (MFP) packing high productivity into one of the smallest footprints in its performance class.
Ideal for small businesses and workgroups, medical offices, real estate offices and other similar settings, the 31ppm RICOH MP C306 produces sharp color documents and paper up to 8.5 inches by 14 inches. It consumes minimal office space at 20.1 inches wide, 23.1 inches deep and 19.9 inches tall.
"This new MFP was designed specifically to support new ways of working," said John Brophy, Vice President, Product Marketing, Ricoh Americas Corporation. "Mobile workers can print and scan from their mobile devices and – with cloud services only a tap away – capture, transform and manage their business information through the tablet-like interface. The experience is the epitome of what we mean by information mobility."
The first Ricoh device to offer Ricoh's 10.1-inch Smart Operation Panel as a standard feature, the RICOH MP C306 lets users drag, drop, pinch, flick and swipe to capture, transform and manage business information. The RICOH Smart Device Print and Scan app makes it easy to capture and generate documents from smart phones and tablets. The embedded Web browser connects users to the Internet, including Ricoh's Integrated Cloud Environment.
The RICOH MP C306 offers standard near field communication (NFC) technology allowing users of smartphones and tablets with NFC capabilities to use the RICOH Smart Device Connector app to control the MFP and send print jobs from their mobile devices. An optional NFC card reader also allows users to simply swipe their company issued NFC-enabled ID card at the MFP for quicker authentication.
The RICOH MP C306 is among the most energy efficient A4 color desktop MFPs in the industry with a faster first print/copy time for reduced power consumption. Other new features include:
- Poster copy, which lets users transform a standard-size document into a poster created by combining nine sheets together.
- Silent mode for printing quietly in libraries and meeting areas.
- Device Software Manager, a PC-based utility that simplifies and automates print driver installation and updates.
- Easy to use embedded apps to streamline functions, such as ID card copying and Scan to Folder.
- A standard 320 GB hard disk drive and embedded Java for a solution-ready desktop MFP.
Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is $4,419.
